An exhibition of watercolours by Gordon Rushmer to celebrate the first ten years of the South Downs National Park. With over 3,300km of rights of way, the National Park offers a lush landscape as diverse as it is breath-taking.
Gordon’s paintings capture scenes of green rolling pastures, wide open spaces, ancient woodland, river valleys and the dramatic coastline.
The exhibition at Rountree Tryon Galleries, Petworth, to be held under self-distancing conditions, runs from the 12th to the 25th of September. A percentage of sales will be donated to the ‘Trees for the Downs’ project which aims to plant 5,000 trees in community spaces, along roads and popular walking routes on the Downs.
